As a Concept Artist at 3metaD, I collaborated directly with the Art Director to bring their creative vision to life through captivating and immersive environments. This role required me to translate the Art Director’s narrative and artistic direction into visual Concepts, providing a foundation for the creation of stunning in-game world and scenes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaboration: worked closely with the Art Director to understand
their vision and storyline. Pitching ideas to the director by creating environment thumbnails, initiating with geometric block mesh for projection, and then moving to matte painting and photo bashing to create realistic staggering results ensuring a harmonious alignment between the game’s narrative and visual aesthetics.
• Conceptualization: Generated a wide range of environment
concepts, including landscapes, architectural designs, and props,
using various traditional and digital art techniques.
• Software: Used software such as Unreal Engine, Photoshop, and Blender to develop concepts, Environments and HD imagery of props, thumbnails and various final images
• Mood Boards: Developed mood boards and reference materials to establish the tone, and ambiance of the game’s environments, facilitating effective communication within the creative team.
• Communication: Effectively communicated artistic choices and
design rationale to cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and a shared understanding of the project’s artistic direction.
