  • Lead a team of 11 Pipeline Controllers to safely operate 6,000 miles of MPL’s crude oil and light product pipelines.
  • Responsible for training and development for new Controller certification and managing the team’s console coverage.
  • Assist Management with employee reviews, recognition, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Promote a strong safety culture within the team, enforcing SHS process and environmental stewardship along ROW.
  • Responsible for analyzing pipeline hydraulics, leak detection, SCADA data, and SCADA/analog alarms to determine abnormal operations and prevent incidents.
  • Initiate and lead Stop-Help-Start cross-functional stakeholder calls to resolve operational issues.
  • Identified and implemented a process improvement strategies for remote light product/LPG cuts at Robinson Refinery
    and MPC Columbus Terminal, implemented automation efforts into Automatic Shutdowns on the CORS 16" system.
  • Improved pipeline leak detection process through historic data trending, saving 150 hours of annual Controller workload.
  • Responsible for developing new operating procedures and maintaining current procedures for Console 1, Console 2, General Procedures and training for new pipeline connections or operational changes.
  • Perform periodic controller audits to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with operational stakeholders, including schedulers, landowners, pipeline/terminal/refinery field teammates, etc.

  • Coordinate between the following departments (Scheduling, Marine, Terminal Managers, Marketing, Pricing and Trading) for a successful RVP conversion for the South Supply Operations department.
  • 95 tank conversions total (84 Marathon tanks, 11 non-Marathon tanks where we are the main supplier to the terminal. Had zero tank L/O's.
  • Worked with third-party Terminal Managers to understand their operational constraints. As well as inspection companies to ensure that proper sampling was being performed.
  • Standardized RVP giveaway for upcoming RVP seasons so Marathon can capture losses more accurately.
  • Gained valuable RA and Excel experience throughout temp assignment.
