The San Bernardino County DAAS Pacific Village Platinum Campus design aims to revolutionize the approach to mental health and substance use disorder treatment through holistic design principles. This innovative facility will serve as a sanctuary for clients, residents, and care teams, fostering a housing environment that prioritizes mental well-being. By integrating thoughtful space planning, landscape design, and material selection, the campus will create a serene and healing atmosphere that supports individuals on their journeys toward recovery.
Pacific Village will provide a dignified home where clients can access a wide range of services, including behavioral health care, individual and group therapy, and opportunities for social connection. The design respects each person's unique path while ensuring safety and security through strategic spatial organization. By creating cross-campus connections, the facility will enhance community bonds while maintaining necessary buffers to promote comfort and privacy. This campus will provide the community of San Bernardino with a 16-bed Substance Use Disorder Facility, 58 permanent supportive affordable housing units, a 32-bed Recuperative Care Center, community building and a renovated cafeteria building. The outdoor courtyards, pet parks, dog kennel and exercise/walking loop infuse the campus with vitality and life.
Two-phase development consisting of a six-story structure featuring 252 one-bedroom apartments, reserved for households earning between 30 and 80 percent of the area median income level. The nearly 170,000-square-foot development would also include 3,300 square feet of commercial uses, 45,000 square feet of open space, and parking for 265 vehicles.
