My name is Randall “Seth” Parrish and I love the Lord Jesus! I grew up in a small town in North Florida and come from an awesome family. My mother has been in education my whole life and my father has always been in the fire/EMS field as well as on the School Board. I graduated and went to Thomas University to play baseball on scholarship which is where my drug addiction took over my life. After losing my scholarship, I moved to Arkansas to live with my brother who was trying to help me get away from the people I was hanging around and I ended up making a mess of my life in Arkansas and went to Prison for 16 months for drug, burglary, and theft charges. I got out and moved back to my hometown in Lake Butler, Fl where I was only out for a few months and got arrested again for drugs. While in jail, I was offered to go to a drug and alcohol regenerative program called Cross Training Ministries. I didn’t know what to expect but I was hungry for change, so I went. This is where Jesus grabbed ahold of my life and I experienced Love and Grace so powerful that I surrendered it all to Him.
I went through the program, graduated and decided to stay put because I believed that’s what God wanted me to do, which was the greatest decision I ever made. God radically changed my life, restored my family, and I met my beautiful wife in which we have now been married over 6 years.
I serve on leadership at Christ Central LaBelle where my wife and I lead worship and I also run the No Longer Bound Recovery Group.
After Cross Training, I went to St Matt’s to work and I fell in love with the ministry and the people who are there. I was still hard headed and God was working things out of me but I had a hard time getting along with Shawron who was my supervisor because we seen things differently but I now know that I was immature and though I was right about a lot I didn’t necessarily handle things the right way.
I seen this job open up and I thought it would be a great fit for me, I love the Kingdom of God and have a vision to bring churches and ministries together and I believe this is what this job is for.
Would be honored to be back with St Matt’s, thank you for considering me!
God Bless,
Seth Parrish

My work here is with the Maintenance division of the City, my specific job is over the landscaping of the main facilities and parks and making sure these are done at high quality. However, there are times we have had to jump around and be a team player.
Here my role was to assist the Agriculture Director, Shawron, in supervising, planning, and facilitating the agriculture industry for the program in LaBelle. One of the coolest parts was I was in charge of building and expanding the Hydrostacker Garden and the other garden areas. Coming from a background of recovery I really enjoyed being able to pour into the guys and minister to them and encourage them. I can say that I miss this job the most, I had some immaturity that God was working out of me still and decided to walk away from it due to some issues of not seeing eye to eye with Shawron but I have learned a lot and grew from that situation and have mended the relationship with the ministry. My wife and I are still heavily involved with the St Matt’s as we get to lead worship on their retreats and get to pour into the guys as they come to Christ Central where we serve on leadership!
This is the program that I went through to change my life, this is where I met Jesus and he freed me from the life of drugs and addiction and the lifestyle of chaos that came with it. I went through the program and committed to stage 2 and then Servant Leader Training which is an additional 1.5 years of serving while living at the program without pay. I then went on to Staff Training and worked my way to become a program director where I was heavily involved in all aspects of the program but mainly teaching classes and dealing directly with the guys and their families.
