I am a deeply caring, hands-on, and experienced childcare professional with over 10 years of experience in both private, self-employed nannying and school-based childcare settings, caring for children ranging from infancy through adolescence (ages 0–18). Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting children through many different stages of development, with my primary experience and passion centered around infants, wobblers, toddlers, and young children.

My approach incorporates elements of both Montessori and Waldorf-inspired childcare while remaining flexible and responsive to each individual child.
From Montessori philosophy, I value independence, practical life skills, order, purposeful activity, freedom within appropriate boundaries, and allowing children to participate in their own care and environment. I enjoy creating opportunities for children to do things with me rather than simply having things done for them.
From Waldorf-inspired philosophy, I value imagination, storytelling, music, movement, nature, rhythm, creativity, simple toys, and a slower, more intentional childhood experience.
I do not believe childcare needs to follow one rigid methodology. Instead, I take the elements that are developmentally beneficial and combine them with my own years of practical experience, observation, intuition, and knowledge of the individual child.
One of my strongest beliefs is that play is a child's work. I pay close attention to what naturally interests a child and use those interests as opportunities for learning.
Rather than constantly planning activities for a child, I allow room for them to initiate play, explore their environment, repeat activities they enjoy, and become deeply engaged in their own discoveries.
I am comfortable sitting alongside a child and observing, following their lead, and joining their world — whether that means building an elaborate block structure, pretending to run a restaurant, collecting rocks outside, dancing around the living room, looking for bugs, making art, reading the same favorite book ten times, or turning everyday household activities into opportunities for learning.
