- Ensuring that all Departmental and CDCR policies and procedures are conveyed to, and followed by, Custody and Counseling staff. Revised and updated unit Operational Plans and develops unit procedures as necessary and as dictated by laws and policies. Modified post orders and caseload assignments as indicated and needed. Reviewed and facilitates work/training program in and involving unit inmates. Coordinated with the Institution Medica and Psychiatric Department to ensure medical and mental health needs of unit inmates were met. - Provided overall supervision and coordination for all of the Unit Classification Committees (UCC) and is a member of the Institution Classification Committee (ICC) held throughout each week and chairs Sub-Committees, requiring approximately 10-12 hours each week.
- Reviewed Use of Force incidents to ensure that they are in compliance with Laws, Departmental Policies, Procedures and Training.
- Attended weekly Warden’s Executive Staff Meetings, attends weekly payday meetings, attends Division meetings and conducts monthly staff meetings. Formulated and implement policy and/or procedural changes as a member of the management team.
- Review CDCR 837’s, CDCR 115’s and CDCR 128’s to ensure compliance with Departmental guidelines. Overall responsibilities for all unit disciplinary hearing, supervises and audits Program Lieutenants in hearing of serious CDC-115’s, audits administrative CDC-115’s heard by Unit Sergeants, Chairs unit Disciplinary Committee hearings, reviews and handles CDC-114D’s on unit inmates, conducts OJT and IST regarding the overall disciplinary process.
- Serves as the Administrative Officer of the Day (AOD) when scheduled. Attends in/out service training as required. As it the institution Assistant Equal Employment Opportunity Manager I process cases of complaint by all employees. Reviewed and Approved all off site hospital transports.

The organization hired inmates at California Medical Facility to repair braillers for the blind in all 50 States. Clean and re gauge donated eye glasses for people in need in other countries.
