I was born in West Virginia and raised in Hurricane which is located in Putnam County. My mother was a preschool teacher and inspired me to become a teacher myself. In high school, I acquired many community service hours via working with students in elementary school over the summer. I am now attending Marshall University where I am pursuing my degree in elementary education.
I have experience both observing and assisting/teaching in the general education classroom grades of 2nd, 4th, and Kindergarten as well as the special education rooms of two schools which contained a variety of students from nearly all grade levels.
Patient with student learning (no matter the student level of performance, I try my best to get them to succeed)
Determined (never quick to give in)
Cheerful (morning person)
Never late ("if you are early, you are on time If you are on time, you are late If you are late, you are in trouble")
