"Dental Education about Digitally Guided Implant Surgery in Periodontics Residency Programs in the U.S. and Canada Assessing the Status Quo”
My research has been IRB approved. The objectives are to assess (a) the degree to which periodontics residency programs in the U.S., and Canada educate their residents about digitally guided dental implant surgeries, and (b) which specific systems, software, and amount of digital integration (workflow) are being used in these residency programs. I am currently collecting data.
This past year, two of my classmates and I came up with an idea to change the way specialists communicate with other specialists and general dentists in their area as it relates to referrals. We launched a start-up company called Riziom (smile in latin). This is a web-based platform that involves an online referral system making communication more efficient and productive. The platform involves a few different portals that are catered to the needs of the patient, the receptionist, and the doctor. We are currently in our coding phase and hope to be functional by the end of this calendar year.
