Assist with the daily operations of the Westcott House ensuring a superb visitors' experience

• Working with the volunteer team to deliver quality daily guest experiences including (but not limited to) - greet and orient visitors, conduct tours, sell retail products and memberships, facilitate programs, events, and special use of Westcott site
• Assist with the daily preparation for public programs including event and/ or programming set up and housekeeping details
• Assist Museum Educator with programming, especially that which relates to volunteers; ie training
• Manage the museum store inventory; ordering and processing new inventory
• Manage the schedule for volunteers and docents
• Manage online store sales and shipments to customers
• Serve as guest receptionist/ store assistant as needed
• Some administrative tasks - coordinating outgoing mail and deliveries, managing office supply inventory
• Assist the Director of Museum Operations as needed with tasks ranging from minor maintenance to bookkeeping
• Staff member in charge of the Volunteer Council - assist Volunteer Council Chair in running meetings, provide staff updates, plan activities with volunteer group (eg potluck, field trip)
• Edit and compile articles from volunteers for quarterly volunteer newsletter, The Westcott Driver
• Participate in Board Meetings
• Member of Marketing Committee of Westcott Board
• Assist with creation of new Westcott branded products
• Supervise summer intern (Summer 2024)
• Certify new docents & store volunteers
• Pair new volunteers with peers in the existing volunteer group - these mentors help new volunteers feel welcome in the group and share their experience at Westcott
• Serve as mentor to new docents as needed, especially those closer to my age

• Updated the Member & Donor database with the most recent information in Microsoft Excel
• Inputted new giftshop products in Shopify and Quickbooks
• Updated existing giftshop products in Shopify and Quickbooks for more accurate inventory counts
• Covered unfilled tour and store shifts or when volunteers had to come off the schedule on short notice

• Renamed files in the Westcott House's Research folders, thus making them easier to find by date
• Determined subjects of files by evaluating the contents of the previously scanned, but unnamed, files and newspaper articles
• Designated new file names to make them more intuitive to find when the files eventually are released to the Westcott House's volunteer team
