Administers the nursing program in a long-term care facility to maintain standards of resident care. I have overall responsibility for day-to-day operations, including the quality of resident care, care management, environmental safety, budget management, and responding to the identified needs to ensure compliance with regulations on organizational and governmental standards and practices.
Perform necessary delegation and coordination for clinical, operational, and managerial activities to accomplish the objectives of the nursing department. Leads the development and execution of clinical programs, procedures, policies, and protocols.
Schedules staff, conducts employee corrective action when necessary, and conducts employee performance reviews. Effectively manages and directs the work of both individuals and teams. Assists with ongoing staff education as it relates to staff's job duties.
