Duties include overseeing the credentialing and privileging process for initial and reappointment applications thru to Board Approval. Additionally, enrollment of providers and payers for the past 9 years. I excel at record keeping and accounting functions. Prior to the Medical Staff office, I worked as an Administrative Assistant to the Director of the medical group. All of these experiences have provided me with the skills to interact professionally both individually and in a group setting.
I have been the Medical Staff Coordinator at Wilson Health for the past 5 years. I have worked independently for the past 4 years processing initial and reappointment applications. I perform all functions of verifications. I prepare files for the Medical Executive Committee meeting and see files thru to the Board on a monthly basis. I am presented regularly with providers that need to be emergency credentialed and complete the task as requested and per the rules of the Medical Staff Bylaws. I prepare agendas and record the minutes for all Medical Staff meetings. I organize the Medical Staff sponsored Employee Appreciation Day meal and raffle yearly. I also organize the face to face Medical Staff meeting at an off-site location for providers and significant others yearly. Over my 4 years in the Medical Staff office, we have contracted with 5 new groups that produced over 100 new initial applications.

I assisted the VP and Medical Director of the Medical Group with day to day functions. I acted as support staff to all office managers. I credentialed providers with insurance companies so that claims would be paid. I maintained all certifications for the providers and tracked provider CME monies. I was responsible for scheduling all meetings that involved the VP and Medical Director and scheduled dietary accordingly. I was a check out receptionist. I was the last person that the patient saw before they exited the office.
