As Family Support, I spent much of my time working directly with students, teachers and families. My job was to try to identify and address barriers to students being successful in school. Students often come to school and struggle to complete the tasks that are required of them. Vinton County is a rural community with very limited resources. Along with working directly with students, I also helped families find resources to help themselves and their children.
