Assistive Mobility Device for Parkinson's Patients, 09/2022-06/2023

Drexel University, College Biomedical Engineering and College of Medicine

Conceptualized, designed and built device to prevent backward falls in Parkinson's patients, adhering to FDA, ADA and ISO standards
Developed mathematical model for mechanical system using data from previous studies and verified model using MATLAB
Worked with team to develop verification tests to ensure that design requirements and constraints were met
Walker was well received by students, engineers and professionals at various Demo and NEBEC competitions
