As a member of the Seismic Outreach team at UCSD, we present hands-on engineering projects to students in grades 4th through 6th. Then host them on campus months later for a full experience: a campus tour, testing their structures on a shake table, and interviewing them to spark curiosity and expand their understanding of what engineering is. This role allows me to support students to gain exposure through early engagement and inspire future innovators.
At Saltaire by UCSD Catering, I serve as a student lead, fulfilling roles as server, buffet attendant, and banquet captain. I collaborate closely with clients to bring their buffet vision to life, coordinating with a team to ensure smooth execution. The position requires strong communication, adaptability, and the ability to work calmly under pressure to deliver a high-quality and client-focused experience.
As a Junior Lead on the Seismic Design Team at UCSD, I was part of the design subteam for a 5-foot balsa wood tower that competed in the national EERI competition. I supported the lead in developing the structural design and detailed floor plans using AutoCAD, contributing to the tower’s overall stability, creativity, and constructability.
