At my first Taekwondo school, as a First Dan Black Belt in training, I was required to teach classes leading up to my test as an official First Dan Black Belt. After I passed my First Dan Black Belt test in July of 2016, I continued to teach classes throughout the year before 2018.
I received the Black Belt of the Year Award in 2016, the same year I received my First Dan, for "outstanding achievement in Taekwondo" as written on the award plaque.
Additionally, I received Tournament MVP the following year, 2017 for my success at the "Florida State AAU Championship Deland, Florida" as written on the award plaque. This award also came from my competition at many tournaments in 2017, while also teaching classes as one of the Black Belt instructors.
