With years of experience in the softball world, I understand that there are a lot of moving components working in the background to make everything come together, run smoothly and be profitable. I want to be a part of creating and maintaining the environment for athletes to come together and enjoy the sport as a community. I feel as though this position requires someone who is independent, passionate, honest and driven. Those are all words that I would use to describe myself.
I have personally been playing softball since I was 5 years old. I still hold the homerun record for my hometown little league. I am a well-rounded player and know that what makes a team is the ability to work together. I play the sport avidly throughout the year in many leagues. I have managed many teams, coed and women's. I have run benefit tournaments and had to uphold the high standards of having a safe place to enjoy the game, while enforcing the rules and keeping situations at a minimum level. I would bring that knowledge and experience to the commissioner position.
I have been an active member in the Rutland Recreational Department for over 10 years. I would take great honor in being able to take part in making the softball program grow and improve over the upcoming years.
