  • I proctor exams along with different training as the need arises, such as but not limited to, confined space, trenching, excavation, hexavalent chromium training, respirator training, and small tools training.
  • The purpose of the training provided onsite at the training center, which I had an opportunity to help design.
  • One of the goals is to bring new hires and train them on all the training that they would need in order to go out into the field and be successful while not requiring any other training unless needed at a later date.
  • The craft training center, which is nine stations includes small tool training, fire protection training, lockout and tag out to name a few.
  • This hands-on training includes a scaffold and a fall protection lab that every craft hand goes through.
  • This training is both hands-on and held inside the classroom.
  • My safety responsibilities in the field include being in charge of supervising an area with 100 people which includes both craft and front-line supervision.
  • Included in my job responsibilities is performing drug tests on employees whether it’s a random or post-accident.
  • Secondly, I also complete investigations to find the details and root cause of why the accident happened in the first place.
  • Finally, once the investigation is complete, findings are reviewed with the employee, crew and jobsite to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
  • Secondly, it was my responsibility to manage and interact with all the employees on site.
