  • Interact with customers in a friendly manner at the register at all times, when dispensing medications. Ensuring high efficiency and accuracy, making sure the customers are aware of what medications they are picking up. Kindly address any issues and concerns as appropriate.   • Answer all calls promptly at a fast-paced, twenty- four (24) hours retail store, and return all patients' calls in the order it was received in the triage queue. Provide answers to customers' inquiries and refer to the pharmacist, when appropriate.
  • Perform patient adherence calls, reminding them to pick up their medications and offer refills on outstanding medications. Give customers an estimated time for pick up and follow through to make sure refills are filled and placed in waiting bins.
  • Stocked, labeled, and inventoried medication to keep accurate records.
  • Take all same day delivery intakes, requested by the customers via telephone, ensuring their contact number, address and medications requested are confirmed, and clearly communicating any out of pocket fees.
  • Process all same day deliveries and USPS deliveries requested through the online service (Pick and Pack) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform data entry on all electronic prescriptions received in the triage queue in a timely manner, as well as process all written hard copy prescriptions while the customer is present.
  • Ensuring data is typed in the correct patient's profile, matching by birth date, last name, first name, address and phone number. Create an accurate profile for new patients as well, when needed.
  • Input and bill new insurances when needed, resolve any issues with current insurances, communicate any billing issues with customers, and offer discounts or coupons when appropriate, to lower out of pocket costs.
  • Provide vaccinations to all customers who signed up for Moderna COVID and flu-shots (six years and older), ensuring the correct vaccine is given to the correct patient at all times. Monitoring patients for any adverse reaction.
  • Perform production and packaging of medication, accurately matching the label. Scanning all manufactured bottles, checking for expiration dates, taking pictures of all bottles and pills as appropriate, to allow for virtual verification by pharmacists before bagging. Then placing bags into the appropriate waiting bin.
  • Assist pharmacists wherever needed. Lead the pharmacy workflow when a floater pharmacist is covering the shift. This includes delegating tasks to all pharmacy technicians on shift (about six to ten) to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Address any questions or problems that may arise during workflow. Continuously teach and guide about twenty (20) current pharmacy technicians in areas necessary and train new hires when needed.
