  • Research Assistant, Barbara Frederickson’s PEP Lab: I served as a “confederate” and employed the “fast friends” method in research trials, Furthermore, I collaborated with other RAs to “essay code” participant responses as well as assisted in the development of behavioral coding schemes.
  • Intern, Dr. Helen Sable’s Behavioral Science Lab: I presented research and findings at the HIRS symposium at Saint Mary’s Episcopal School. Furthermore, I operated and handled several operant chambers for rodent subjects and recorded data during timed trials.

Extracurricular And Volunteer Experience

  • Hearts for the Homeless Recruitment Chair, Vice President, President-elect: Led a team of volunteers to record and report blood pressures of homeless individuals in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area, providing references to free clinics when appropriate. Furthermore, I led donation drives of necessary supplies such as blankets, socks, and toiletries.
