Creative and caring child-care professional with a wealth of experience in watching children of all ages from a variety of backgrounds. Dedicated to turning every day into an adventure and building a relationship of trust with the children and parents. Expertise in infant care, creative play, and managing multiple schedules and children at a time.
For the past two years, I have worked for the highly-rated agency Chicago Super Sitters and have turned part-time babysitting into a full-time career. I went through a rigorous background check and interview process in order to get on the roster and have been a highly rated and requested sitter since the beginning. I have babysat for dozen of families in the Chicagoland area with a mixture of one-time and recurring gigs and have been praised for my ability to jump right in with the kids and make them feel comfortable and have fun with me from the start. I was selected to be on the Chicago Super Sitters Wedding and Events Team and have worked a wide-range of weddings (some where I've been thrown into the wedding walking down the aisle last minute with the kids) and events including a two-day event with children with disabilities.
One of my first Chicago Super Sitters gigs was with the Keten Family and I have been babysitting for them as needed ever since and currently watch 5 year old Leo and 3 month old Oliver part-time 5 days a week. Leo and I connected instantly and love to engage in creative play whether that's making up silly games like turning him into Leo soup or teaching him new songs from my childhood. I am responsible for taking care of both boys at the same time and have to balance my time playing with Leo with Oliver's feeding and sleeping schedule which I have been able to do seamlessly.
I started babysitting Leo when he was 4 months old and was responsible for all his care (feedings from bottles to solids, diaper changes, naps, play, etc.) for a full-day on Mondays and a half-day on Fridays. I was selected by the Cortes family out of a pool of potential sitters because of my outgoing personality and my willingness to actually engage and play with Leo. For the majority of time I was with the family, they were having their condo redone so I would have to find ways to care for and entertain Leo out of the house whether it was trips to the park, the zoo, local museums, we did it all!
When I was 12 years old, I started my own babysitting service for families in my neighborhood and built up a roster of regulars. I was a date-night and after-school sitter and would watch children of all ages from infants-12 year olds and was responsible for meal prep and bottles, bed-time, bath-time, and play-time. I was responsible for up to 5 kids at a time and was known for being extremely responsible and communicative and someone that kids really loved to play with.
In my role as Choreographer I was responsible for choreographing creative, age-appropriate dances for children ages 11-13 and teaching it to them in a fun, engaging way so they would retain it for their spring musical. I was in charge of up to 20 children at a time from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds. Some children had behavioral issues and I would have to manage a lot of big personalities and make sure they all had their chance to shine on stage.
