- Conducted regular inspections of recycling equipment and reported maintenance needs to ensure optimal functionality
- The team and i were in charge of keeping the shop clean, we swept & organized the equipment, also swept the inside of the MRF keeping the walk way clean ready for the next shift
- Also cleaned out so called “meteor bins” , a feeding machine that leads material into the conveyor belt. Also cleaned the inside of the bearing that was in the meteor bin cutting and removing anything that would get wrapped around and kept the bottom end of the meteor clean to avoid stoppage or repairing
- I was also in charge of cleaning a machine called the Spydir NRT machine, a machine that separates material by air pressure coming out through valves. I made sure to keep these machines clean as possible so it can avoid any poor performance to the machine by cleaning out the valves and valve cover every day. I was also in charge of changing out any broken lights/ sockets. These lights were an important role to the machines due to lack of visibility without the lights, sometimes the connection towards the light would need repair as well so the new wire had to come in and be fixed, these repairs are pretty self explanatory
- Near towards the end of the shift i would always check up on my team if they need help with anything to avoid them being in a rush
