  • Special Education Interventionist based out of ELSC. Deployed to different Area 1 schools to monitor and collect data on students. Analyzed this data, and after conferring with BCBAs, I helped implement and support plans to provide support and services to the students in the learning areas. Coached and role modeled the appropriate approaches, interventions and skills for the staff teaching teams in order to elevate their skillset to assist them in helping the students we serve. Collaborating with the BCBA, IEP team and Special Ed teachers in checking BIP fidelity and providing tools and teaching strategies in order to assure the students are receiving the proper supports and accommodations.
  • Special Education Interventionist. Assigned to specific Special Education settings in order to support students in a small group capacity, teach and model prosocial behaviors, monitor for and support student crisis situations. Collect and examine data to provide safer and more stable learning environments for the students under my care. Worked at: Bertram Campus school (2021-2022) and with the Tanager students attending Jefferson High School (2022-2023). While in this role at Jefferson High School, I sponsored and led the extracurricular Dungeons and Dragons club for students. I provided a safe, stable location in which the students could congregate and play the game. I fundraised money for supplies, gaming aids and accessories for the students.
  • Tier 1 Building Coach. Focusing on pulling data and developing plans to install a PBIS approach for staff and students. Co-administrator for the PBIS Rewards program. Taught staff and students how to use the program effectively to reward students for positive behaviors in an attempt to change the peer culture within the classroom. (September 2019-2021)
  • Promoted to a Case Manager position within the building. Focus is helping meet the mental health needs of the students. Working in tandem with the Mental Health Therapist to identify needs within the student population and connect their family with necessary resources out in the community. Facilitating individual skills groups covering social emotional learning, Health/Sex Education, and social skills. Assisting and supporting other staff members who run groups as well, sharing material and milieu leadership techniques. Helping students manage appropriate relationship boundaries and behaviors. (February 2020-2021)
  • Worked as an Engagement Specialist, assigned to specific classrooms. Helping establish a safe classroom routine by teaching coping strategies and assisting with school work and behavioral issues. Teaching prosocial skills by building a rapport with the students, and assisting with positive relationship structuring. Assisting classroom staff with recording data for IEPs and BIPs, and analyzing data to help develop the most effective method to present school material. (January 2018-February 2020)
  • Worked as a Classroom Assistant in the Kids on Course Scholar Camp Summer Program. Assisted the teacher with delivering lessons to students using different learning techniques. Led a student book club, discussing themes, plots and characters of the chosen book. Assisted in set up and leading experiments in a group C.S.I. science project. Set up and helped students complete different experiments to find clues and attempt to solve a fictional crime. (June-July 2018)
  • Assigned duties as a PLC team leader for the building’s Engagement Specialists. Lead weekly team meetings, addressing issues within the building. Focusing on educating staff on red flags and non verbal cues, offering feedback for staff working with difficult students. Supported fellow Engagement Specialists with connecting to staff and students in their assignment room. Worked as an unofficial liaison between the Engagement Specialists and the Administration.
