Richard Mace

My goal is to attend EBU and earn an EdD in Teaching and Learning. I retired from a career of 30 years as a secondary science teacher (3 years) and 27 years as a high school guidance counselor. I no longer need a doctorate to climb the academic ladder to the top rung. I will be 80 years old on my next birthday and this degree represents a personal achievement that has been on my bucket list.

I am a vietnam era veteran and served overseas as a tank commander. I am continuously involved with the Veterans

Administration and my doctorate will give more opportunity as a volunteer to help more veterans in need of services.

And finally, my only job now is to remain healthy, continue to learn and explore, and to engage life to the fullest extent I can possibly manage. Earning this degree will allow me to pursue my dream and, hopefully, give something back to my community.

I earned and received the rank of Eagle Scout In 1961. I earned and received my private pilot license at age 60. I owned a Piper Cherokee and flew it for 12 years.
