For the past 3 years I have been a member of Yucaipa High school JV and Varsity basketball team.  I have played a number of basketball positions such as; shooting guard, small forward, power forward.  As a member of the team I have had to learn time management, multitasking and establishing goals and priorities.  A Yucaipa athlete must maintain a grade point average of  2.0, which I have done with a a combined gpa of 3.5.  I am required to carry myself positively and with good conduct.  Basketball has taught me to leadership skills, communication as well as a team player.  On the court I need to make quick decisions to help lead us to a win.  Affective communication is essential on a sport team.  I have learned to be direct with purpose to communicate on the court.  This skill lends itself as an efficient employee.
