• Technical Skills – Taking and recording accurate vital signs, gathering relevant patient history promptly, venipuncture, medication administration: SQ, IM, and IV under the supervision of a DVM, laboratory and diagnostic skills: radiology positioning, urinalysis, blood work, preparing cytology's: skin, blood, fecal, and ears.
• Passion and Knowledge of Animal Behavior – Understanding animal behavior to help prevent aggression and anxiety, ensuring the safety of both the animal and staff.
• Animal Restraint – The ability to safely and gently restrain animals during procedures to prevent injury to the animal, themselves, or the veterinary team.
• Client Communication – Interacting with pet owners to discuss their animals' conditions, provide updates, educate owners on preventive care measures, and explain medical procedures.

Provided comprehensive equine care at a Hunter Jumper facility with approx. 30 horses and ponies, including:

• Overseeing weekly feed regimens, supplements, and medications
• Daily care such as feeding, watering, and blanketing
• Administering basic first aid, wound care, and oral medications
• Monitoring equine health and notifying the owner or vet as needed
• Assisting with vet, farrier, and other professional appointments
• Maintaining a clean, safe facility and equipment
• Ensuring tack is in good condition and advising on purchases
• Providing show-quality grooming and assisting with lessons
• Preparing horses, tack, and paperwork for competition transport

Provided equine health care at a large boarding facility with over 50 horses and ponies, including:

• Managing weekly feed regimens, supplements, and medications
• Daily care such as feeding, watering, and blanketing
• Administering basic first aid and medications
• Monitoring health and notifying owners/vets as needed
• Training new employees in equine care and barn procedures
