• Hosted/Togo until 18 years old, then transitioned to being a Server.

1. Hostess

i. Greet and seat guests

ii. Ensure everyone has menus

iii. Help servers with waters and extra plates, chairs, and napkins with bigger parties

2. To-go

i. Take to-go orders in person and over the phone

ii. Bag all orders (in person, phone, and online) ensuring all orders had proper eating utensils, napkins, and sauces

iii. Help bring food cooked in the back out to servers/bar

3. Server

i. Size of parties & tables vary, max 8 people at a table with multiple parties depending (i.e., 2 parties of 4, 2 parties of 2 and 1 party of 3, or 1 party of 7 or 8, etc.) sometimes 9 or 10 people parties as well.

ii. Greet guests, familiarize them with the process if it's their first time, ask about any birthdays/special occasions being celebrated

iii. Deliver drinks and any appetizers/sushi ordered, as well as soups and salads that come with their meals

iv. Bring refills/anything else the guest needs while the chef cooks food at their table

v. Pre-buss tables (take away all dirty plates after boxes are brought out)

vi. Deliver ice cream and sing our special happy birthday/happy song in Japanese to parties with birthdays

• Occasionally work multiple positions at once, i.e. togo and hosting, togo and server, etc.
• Been serving for around 4 months

• Worked many positions in the store, including cashier, returns/service desk, fulfillment, stocking shelves, and drive up
• Started as cashier and was gradually put into other positions (mostly drive up and returns/service desk, but occasionally others as well)
• Was put in charge to manage checkout lanes for a brief period of time while team leaders/managers went on break
• Switched positions to support coworkers if needed or if team lead asked to

• Fast-paced environment
• Worked in several different positions, shifted roles and duties throughout shifts to fulfill the store's greatest need
• Worked multiple positions at once during most shifts because of short staffing, i.e. line and cashier, online orders and dish, online orders and line orders
• Worked as a close team to stay organized and efficient

• Tutored kids K-8 in subjects English and Math
• Used positive reinforcement to encourage and motivate kids
