When winters were slow at the CDA Resort, i helped set up all of the Christmas Decorations. I worked there 3 winters in a row with a company that the resort had working on all of the Christmas Decorations. I learned how to manage space well with the hundreds of decorations we put up every year. Had to organize all of the decorations, and understand we only had a certain amount of space to store them before and after Christmas. I definitely learned a lot through working for Jen over those 3 winters.
Started serving in the summer of 2022 and worked my way up to a bartending position by summer 2024. Received a promotion summer of 2024 and became lead bartender/assistant manager. Guest service skills, cash transactions, and problem solving with members are some of the skills I learned over the years working there. Working at the infinity pool was more so problem solving, dealing with guests, and making sure they have a good experience. Got promoted to assistant manager summer '24 after being lead bartender for the summer.
Worked as a busser 2 nights a week at Cedars Floating Restaurant the nights i wasn't bartending at the BLU Infinity Pool. Had to carry trays of food, clear tables, talk with guests in the restaurant, problem solve whenever an issue arises. Learned even more guest service skills, and learned how to compensate for each and every guest desires when they came in to eat.
Worked as a valet for a year at the Cda Resort. I learned how to create good guest experiences, safely drive and park all and any vehicles, and learned how to compromise for different people and help them enjoy their stay.
Before i became a valet, my first job was bussing at the Hayden Lake country Club. I learned similar skills and values as when i was bussing at Cedars. Learned how to provide a good experience for guests, and also created a good work ethic at my first job. Left in October 2020 because i turned 19 and was old enough to valet.
