2023 would be a year to remember. The main concentration of the 2023 season was the Nascar Youth Series National asphalt races. RJ's goal this season was simple, to win a national championship. While it was simple, he knew it was not going to be easy. Everyone was hoping this would be his season, he was on top of his game, and one of the top runners in contention.
With a lot of hard work, determination, help, support, and guidance, RJ was able to pull off is goal. At the mandatory Indianapolis, IN national race, he won his Unrestricted Animal feature, locking him into his first national race championship. The goal was met, but why stop there. The season was going good, lots of wins, lots of podiums in the other four classes he ran. So the bar was raised to attempt a second championship. RJ raced hard, had some ups and downs like any other driver. The last race of the season was going to determine his fate. He knew where he had to finish in the last races in order to obtain another championship. RJ would go on to lock in (4) national championships based on his finishes of the last race and place 2nd overall in his fifth car. Goal achieved. Overall he would place all cars in for the season in the A mains. Also win a total of (13) national races and a dozen podium finishes.
2022 would be a bit different. Concentrating more on skill and refinement in RJ's racing. Concentrated on racing more in the Northeast. Raced the Northeast Titan Series, some of the Dixie Shootout Series, and some USAC.25 nationals. Started racing at a QMA track in CT, Silver City, preparing for a QMA national race. Here RJ would win a QMA Eastern Grands National race in Heavy 160. Fortunately, with all the practice at this track, he would then become a (3) time Eagle Race winner at Silver City. 2022 would be a successful year. RJ would become a (4) time 2022 Northeast Titan Champion as well. With this drive would push him into the 2023 season with even more determination as possible.
2021 would be a turning point in racing, another new class, the Heavy Division classes. In this class many of the others he raced with in the prior year, he would be racing with. He would earn his nickname "Ramon" this season by his fellow race car drivers and also known as the lightest, youngest, heavy driver running that year. He would earn their respect by racing clean and being able to run with some of the best. He learned a lot from the fellow drivers and did a lot of racing this season. RJ would race both the asphalt and dirt national events, earning some wins and many podiums. RJ in this year raced multiple local races, Northeast Titan regional races, Dixie Shootout Races, and USAC.25 national races, both dirt and asphalt. In 2021, he would win his first national race in both dirt asphalt.
Due to RJ's birthday being in October, the second season of racing he would be starting out in the Senior Class division, one of the hardest, most challenging division in the USAC.25 league. 2020 was a season of learning and educating in both dirt and asphalt. Raced all over the country from the Northeast Titan tracks to New Smyrna, FL to Huntsville, AL. He started racing with the best of the best in his division. Learning from those with more experience than him and using that to gain more ground in this racing. RJ had a good season, some wins, many and podiums.
Started racing .25 Quarter Midgets at Oaklane QMRC in Quakertown, PA. Started at 8 years old in the Red Rookie Division. Quickly moved through the division showing the understanding and knowledge of racing to advance himself into the higher classes. Moved up to the Blue Rookie division and eventually into the Junior Class Division by mid season. Raced multiple tracks in the area including Garden State QMRC, Honeybrook Speedway, Buckeye, and also raced dirt at Lehigh Valley QMRC in the Junior Class Division. He raced dirt and asphalt through out the Northeast, placing in multiple podium finishes and wins showing the determination to be a race car driver. RJ also broke a couple track records in this year.
