Roban Shay

As a basketball player for Emerson College, I have developed a strong and willing work ethic through my athletics and academics. Through my recent part-time work, internships and athletic career, I have developed the proper people, organization, communication and technical skills to be highly effective in a multitude of different professional environments.

• Holderness School, Dorm/House Leader, 2021-09, 2023-05, One of 8 boys selected as “Senior Leader” tasked with being the authoritative student head of the dorm. I was responsible for the younger students, organizing dorm events, dorm cleans, room checks and most organizational aspects of maintaining the dorm.
• Outback - An 11 day, 40 miles trek through the white mountains of New Hampshire during the winter. Eight of these days were spent with a group and three in complete isolation. We were without any technology and responsible for making our own shelter as-well as cooking own food.
• LEUKEMIA/LYMPHOMA 4K WALK/RUN LONG BEACH BOARDWALK, VOLUNTEER AND ORGANIZER, 2017-03, Present, Complete a 4K charity run with family and friends in memory of my grandfather, Raised $30,000 through sponsorships and donations for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, in order to aid research to find a cure and provide treatments to blood cancer patients
