Summary

I was nominated for employee of the year 3 of my five years at South middle school. Finishing 2nd in 2023 and in the top ten in 2022 and 2024. But what was really cool is I was at trunker treat with my son Jake and his girlfriend Mady handing out candy. While there I saw 3 different kids Ben, Anya, and Jack. I was a para for all 3 of them at South Middle school. The cool thing was I hadn’t seen Hack in a year and Ben and Anya for Two years but they knew who I was and were excited to see me and I them.! Ben surprised me the most he walked up to me as soon as he got to are car and said Mr. Bob, Mr. Bob and grabbed my hand it was so cool that he remembered me. Mr. Bob is what he called me at south Middle.

    I’ve worked at the Mike Clemons center as a para professional for 4 years I worked with Cindy Freed there Then transferred and have worked at Fort Zumwalt South Middle school for 5 years I’ve primarily been placed in the connect, link, and essentials rooms all these rooms deal with children with either behavioral issues are developmental disabilities When I was younger I also volunteered to help with special Olympics helping coach basketball and also traveling to Fort LeonardWood to help coach and get kids to there individual events for track and field staying with the kids overnight in the barracks One of the children being my brother Tom who has down syndrome He’s my best buddy and he is who inspired me to work with the developmental disabilities Before I worked as a para professional I worked 20 years for Terminix pest control I got sick with congestive heart failure and they let me go It was kind of A blessing in disguise because even though I don’t make as much money as a paraprofessional I love what I do and feel I’m making A difference in peoples lives!
