Visits offender residences, jails, correctional facilities, courthouses, social services, and other agencies to obtain offender information; interviews, counsels, and trains offenders concerning reintegration skills to include life and cognitive skills and ABE/GED training; and evaluates offender adjustment and recommends revisions to parole supervision plans. Coordinates with facilities, agencies, and community organizations to prepare and facilitate implementation of an informed plan of supervision. Compiles information, prepares social and developmental histories, documents offender supervision activities, and maintains required records; prepares evaluations, recommendations, and other related reports to include data entry, retrieval, and data searches; and provides technical assistance. Conducts activities to monitor offender compliance with the conditions of supervision to include alcohol and drug testing. Responds to inquiries from offenders and the public in person, telephonically, and in writing. Performs criminal information searches and retrieval using Texas Department of Public Safety criminal history system access. Interact with upper management to perform duties and compile reports.

Processing and review violation reports. Reading violation reports and using policy to determine if a warrant needs to be issued, returned for corrections, continue supervision or if a summons hearing is needed. Processing emergency warrants for Parole Officer, Assistant Regional Directors, Regional Directors and Sections Directors. Processing Ineligible Release warrants on clients who have been released early from jail. Knowledge in the use of the TDCJ legacy mainframe system, ability to create and closed databases. Knowledge in the use of the TDCJ OIMS and On Base systems. Runs reports to determine is database systems match and if parole officer are keeping with policy when processing violation reports. Knowledge in TDCJ Polices and Procedures. Ability to work well with upper management and do special projects.

Placing blue warrant, white warrant and proclamation of revocation warrant holds on clients. Processing request to withdraw blue warrants. Sending administrative messages to law enforcement agencies to release clients with private residence and TDCJ Halfway House Facilities. Review request for warrants to be republished with clients have been released for different reasons. Make phone calls to different agencies to inquire information on clients with have been arrested or released.
