Worked in various chemical and power plants including Honeywell, Dupont, AdvanSix, and Dominion Energy. Read prints and worked in DCS cabinets terminating low voltage wiring. Set up supports in the field and mounted, ran conduit to, and terminated instruments. Received work plans from foreman and delegated tasks to other journeyman and apprentices to efficiently complete jobs. Worked on stress cones and other medium voltage cabling, which included getting national certification for medium voltage splicing.
Worked as an in house electrician for Turner at AdvanSix. My usual day consisted of being laid out by the general foreman during morning meeting then handling the task with an apprentice and myself while checking in a few times a week to report progress. Also worked in large teams using radio communication to conduct lengthy wire pulls over large areas of the plant.
Started my electrical career with ITAC and completed the four year apprenticeship while working.
