  • Responsible and accountable for up to $125,000,000 dollars of ammunition and explosives (Class V items); on official orders as the Responsible Officer of the Fort Campbell, Kentucky Ammunition Supply Point, (FCKY ASP).
  • As the ASP Supervisor I participate in multiple safety and supply staff inspections from different levels of echelon from DA down. These events include the evaluations form Department of the Army G4, Army Material Command, Army Sustainment Command, and Joint Munitions Command with exceptional and commendable scores being awarded.
  • Advise Chief of Installation Supply Division, Accountable Officer, Prime Contractor Program Management, & Division Manager, on all Ammunition Training status and issues.
  • Member of the AFSBn-CAM and Fort Campbell Garrison Explosive Safety Council and Certification boards.
  • Responsible for all coordination and support actions pertaining to ammunition lifecycle logistics (plan, transport, track, store, secure, inventory, maintain, inspect, issue, receive and destroy conventional ammunition).
  • Provide training assistance identifying, accounting controlling with all command groups on FCKY installation, supported civilians, National Guard, Marine Corp and Army/Marine Reserve elements. Work collaboratively with the ASP Accountable Officer, Installation Ammunition Manager and Brigade Ammunition Officers in publishing SOPs notifying customers of workplace policies.
  • Planning and Evaluating employees, responsible for forecasting the workload for daily operations without any discrepancies.
  • Conduct walk-throughs daily to ensure all personnel have and are using the correct personnel protection equipment.
  • Detail oriented Quality Assurance with expertise in conducting thorough testing & analysis to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Experience in implementing & maintaining effective quality control systems for the company.
  • Maintain direct storage and accurately account for 47 earth-covered Ammunition/Explosive magazines for explosives storage, and meticulously apply all rules, regulations and applicable safety standards with no deficiencies.
  • Serves as the organization’s Safety and Occupational Health Specialist. Plans, schedules, and conduct/accesses safety readiness through safety assessments/inspections of company worksites.
  • Review and provide technical guidance to ASP Staff in stock control activity administrative procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of all accountable records.
  • Compile and analyze data to identify unit trends, deficiencies to ASP Accountable Officer, Installation Ammunition Manager and Brigade Ammunition Officers.
  • Monitor all storage facilities to ensure they are secured appropriately; further ensure that all ammunition is stored with compatible material, with appropriate fire hazard symbols and chemical hazard symbols visibly displayed adjacent to ammunition magazines.

  • Conduct and reconcile quarterly inventories, while maintaining an average of 0% loss; validate all CAT I & II Magazines alarm checks IAW AR 190-11.
  • Directly oversee the forecasted and on-call coordination of all issues, turn-ins and shipment of ammunition items, as well as associated documentation; and oversee demilitarization documentation of CAT I items within the residue.
  • Responsible for and ensure that all safety standards are met and maintained by both employees and military personnel at FCKY ASP; assume additional duty as the ASP Safety Officer.
  • Coordinate with internal and external staff elements via meetings and conferences to facilitate, resolve and assist customer units in the resolution of identified ammunition logistics issues.
  • Conducts studies of accident causal factors to identify predictive trend analysis to devise effective methods to mitigate safety hazards. Serves as a member of accident investigation boards.
  • Review data and file computer generated reports and transactions to ensure processing of such are in accordance with DOD, Army, IMCOM, AMC and local regulations and procedures.
  • Prepares and issues bulletins, letters, safety grams, toolbox topic, near misses etc. for distribution to personnel related to on and off the job safety.
  • Lead, directs and/or advises mishap investigation boards convened to ascertain causal factors precipitating fatalities, serious injuries, or substantial property damage and report to Corporate.
  • Warehouse and load ammunition by compatibility groups and properly inspect vehicles to ensure suitability of equipment to transport ammunition.
  • Segregate hazardous waste and stored ammunition; transport residue to DLA Disposition Services and the FCKY Recycling Center.
  • Possesses more than 15 years’ experience with hazmat, to include maintaining consecutive SAP Certifications; currently inspecting weekly. Receiving commendable from both Kentucky and Tenseness OSHA.
  • Provides safety directives, assists operational and maintenance leadership in safety and environmental matters, directs employees on ways to bring resolution to safety and environmental opportunities.
