  • Managed a maintenance team with the focus to support all maintenance activities (PMs, work orders, and unscheduled work) related to the production of Anode and Cathode material needed for the batteries used in Model Y, Cybertruck, and Cybercab vehicles.
  • Supervised 14-24 maintenance technicians working in Foil Coat, Anode / Cathode (Cal-Lam, Slitting, and Mixing)
  • Collaborated with manufacturing to help maintain a 95% PM completion rate for a record six months.
  • Facilitated team member growth by encouraging project completion, resulting in multiple fabrication jobs that improved manufacturing areas.
  • Delivered six-month performance reviews to align team goals with Tesla policy.
  • Created the 5S standard for the Cell Electrode fabrication shop.
  • Developed 5S preventive maintenance plan for toolbox project.
  • Took over “toolbox” project. Due to lost and or missing tools from 20 toolboxes, an audit system was created with limited Bluetooth access. Lost or missing tools went to zero.
  • Assisted Control technician in the proposal, acquiring, and installation of an electrical PPE machine due to Cell Electrode not having one.
  • Wrote all MIs for the electrical equipment inside the fabrication shop.
  • Used the “Elevate” recognition program to fullest potential for maintenance technicians by submitting over 800+ recognitions in a year.
  • Ensure all JHA’s, JSA’s and line breaks were submitted and followed to help protect the safety of the technician(s).

  • Oversaw the production of battery material in Cell Electrode by feeding graphite into Cal Lam machines, the creation of “pancakes” by the Slitting machines and then sent completed material to Tabless to meet customer’s needs.

  • Supported manufacturing by supervising both Cathode and Anode Slitting.

  • Established and maintained TW inventory for OHT site, collaborated with Global Procurement to qualify new vendors and substrates, submitted level 4 CAB approvals through Engineering, and engaged engineers to identify best-known methods.
  • Use pace charts and metrics to ensure manufacturing and TW teams are maintaining appropriate WIP.
  • Manufacturing, Engineering, and Maintenance and TW operator output is maintained through T/DLH and tool utilization / availability, T/W, Holds, Turns, Run Rate, and Dispatch Compliance, and FPS to achieve customer requests.
  • Oversaw the allocation of resources to support on-time delivery for production teams.
  • Expedited processing of Mercury, Q-Timer, slow-moving, P1, and SA request WIP.
  • Decrease cycle time using Equipment / Stage Wait Times.
  • Ensure all training and cross training are completed on time to achieve 100% cross functionality.
  • Conducted quarterly, mid-year, and annual performance appraisals, developing career plan goals and objectives.
