In summery, I have to say I am quite amazed that I find my self writing a resume for a full time pastoral position. I do desperately love what I am doing and if I could do it full time, how blessed and at the same time challenged I would be. I will by God's good grace be content to stay where I am and continue to minister to these good people here in Rochester, where there is so much potential for growth and the loving atmosphere is so rewarding.
But if God should impress the Personnel Comity to find a place where I can better serve Our Lord and His church in a full time capacity, I will promise to prayerfully consider your recommendations, and humbly seek to follow God's leading.
The bottom line is that, by God's grace I want to be where ever He wants me to be, doing what He wants me to do.
I began my pastoral work here in Rochester NH as a part time Pastor. in March of 2017 after about twelve years of ministry at the Claremont NH church as an active layman, serving as a deacon, head deacon, elder, and head elder along with extensive involvement in our conference Prayer Ministry team. I have a passion for prayer, I love working with people, especially young people. I love giving Bible studies, and teaching in general and preaching has always been very rewarding to me. In my 7 years at Rochester we have done several short evangelistic series and have had 14 baptisms over the time. In January of 2022 I took on the Rochester Indonesian church at the same location, and currently enjoy Pastoring those two churches. In 2022 We began a Mission out reach to Southwestern Kenya which resulted in a mission trip in 2023 and one planned for October of this year, with approximately 25 baptisms so far this year by the Bible worker we are supporting there.
I started off BDS Painting as a small business taking on only small jobs painting that I could handle by my self and gradually began doing more light carpentry and remodeling, mostly kitchens and bathrooms, until that became the bulk of my work. It was always small time but very rewarding and mainly sustained by repeat customers who liked the quality and value of my work, I gave up the business license and BDS name when I took on the pastoral work but retained my insurance so I could continue to supplement my income with side work while pastoring.
I started painting houses in High school, (My teacher's house) I've cooked, been a Mason tender, worked as an Electronic Technician in robotics, I was in the Boston Bridge Painter's Union and many other things that all worked to shape the man I turned out to be. One thing I learned about my self is that I also love to learn, and only by God's grace it turns out I am a pretty good learner, which is good, because I have a lot to learn. I love finding out how, why, when, where, and what ever else there is to know. I'm so glad we have eternity where we get to keep on learning.
