With over 25 years dedicated to law enforcement at the Newport Police Department and serving in all 3 Divisions, my career has been driven by a commitment to community safety and strategic leadership. In my current role as Police Lieutenant, I leverage my analytical skills to enhance department operations, fostering a culture of trust and accountability. My core competencies in management and leadership have enabled us to navigate complex challenges and continuously improve our service to the public. • As Dispatcher Supervisor led and managed civilian non-sworn personnel.

• Certified Active Shooter Instructor conducting numerous trainings for Police, Police Recruits and Security Officers.
• ALICE certified Active Shooter Instructor for civilian response in an Active Shooter Hostile Event. Conducted scenarios with Newport Hospital and the Newport Public Schools
• Worked with RIEMA, United States Navy and other community partners ICS command posts and with pre-planning major events.
• Developed and conducted tabletop exercises and All Hazard Planning with NPD personnel, Newport Public Schools and community partners in an effort to mitigate potential threats to the community.
• Implemented policy revisions based on best practices, ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations as well as accreditation standards. Established and enforced employee performance policies. Provided monthly and yearly reports with critical analysis.
