I set safety standards using Risk Assessments for every mission and manage the Commanders property book worth over $28,000,000. I utilize Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A), a SAP program, for dispatching military equipment and creating notifications for repairs through the Field Maintenance Shop (FMS).
  • I receive, inspect, inventory, load, unload, segregate, store, issue, deliver, and turn-in organization and installation supplies and equipment. I operate a unit-level computer, prepare all unit/organizational supply documents, and maintain an automated supply system for accounting of organizational and installation supplies and equipment.
  • I also issue and receive small arms, secure and control weapons and ammunition in security areas, and schedule and perform preventive and organizational maintenance on weapons.
  • Additionally, I coordinate supply activities, review and annotate changes to the unit material condition status report, and post transactions to organizational and installation property books and supporting transaction files. I determine the method of obtaining relief from responsibility for lost, damaged, and destroyed supply items. I utilize Property Book User Supply Enhanced (PBUSE) on a daily basis to perform inventories and print barcode labels using Automatic Identification Technology (AIT).
  • I also match and approve Government Purchase Credit Card monthly, am assigned as Battery DOD Hazardous Material certifier, and create annual maintenance contracts between Field Maintenance Shops, Field Support Company, and the Bravo Battery Commander shops for support of maintaining 100% full mission capable.
