Have remodeled seventy-five percent of the C.S.U.F orchard with new technology and new plantings. I am a life long learner and I enjoy connecting with students who are passionate about agriculture.

Field Crop Manager

  • As the field crop manager I have implemented strip till practices on all field crop acreage
  • I manage the compost operation which is responsible for making compost out of animal waste and then apply it on the field crops
  • I have introduced cover cropping which has numerous benefits for soil health and host multiple labs for Agriculture mechanics, weeds, irrigation, and soils classes to show a complete picture of California agriculture
  • I also put in the soil pits for the FFA judging contest
  • Lastly in my time as manager of field crops I am responsible for producing corn and wheat silage for Fresno state animal units.

Orchard Manager

  • As the orchard manager I am responsible for implementing and facilitating orchard production on 250 acres of tree crops
  • Some of the projects I am currently working on are: soil mapping of the entire acreage and installed new irrigation systems with soil specific parameters; automating all irrigation systems with online control and monitoring; hosting a minimum of 10 labs per semester with pomology, Ag mechanics, irrigation, pesticides, and intro to Agriculture classes
  • In my position I supervise 6 student employees and 6 full time field workers
  • I facilitate multiple research projects every year with chemical companies, private researchers, graduate student projects, and undergrad projects
  • I am confident with experimental block designs, implementation, facilitating and data collection on research projects.
