- My duties include receiving patient referrals, investigating insurance, contacting patients by mail, phone or in person to screen for State and Federal programs such as Medical Assistance, Medicaid Disability and also Crime Victims
- I work remotely receiving calls from patients and hospital staff to screen patients for qualifying programs, complete applications, release forms, making sure they understand what verifications are due and to assist in getting them together in a timely manner
- I would also screen for Financial Assistance programs through the hospital and help them apply
- I also explain to the patient or patient's family the process and answer any questions they may have, if I do not know the answer I will find out and call them back.
