In my current role as a carrier technician for the United States Postal Service, I am tasked with completing a different route every day with the same level of competency and proficiency as the regular carrier. I am only assigned to complete this task for 5 routes in my unit; however, in less than a year, I became the only carrier knowledgeable and capable of completing all nine routes in our city in exceptional time. Additionally, I am the person people go to when they have questions about routes they are unfamiliar with. I have also aided a few coworkers in route optimization changes that have been issues for years.
I am familiar with loading and organizing immense amounts of packages, especially during peak season, in a neat and efficient manner, and have been complimented on numerous occasions for my methodical approach to the process. After driving a different truck every day with varying levels of functionality, I learned many key quirks that can arise in these types of vehicles, how to compensate for the most safe and gentle driving experience possible, and how to best inform management and maintenance when issues become critical.
In summary, I am a fast learner with a drive for efficiency, neatness, and safety and possess over three years of experience in this industry
