· Work as a hand nurse practitioner, collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to evaluate and treat pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

· Work as a float patient care resource manager (PCRM) to provide continuity of care for oncologic, hematologic, & surgical patients. Experience primarily in urologic/gynecologic,neurosurgery, orthopedic, and plastic surgery patient populations.

· Educate patients on their important topics related to their oncologic illness: meaning of blood work, reason for anti-coagulation, how to administer injections, how to care for lines, tubes, drains, & surgical sites.

· Daily involvement with insurance companies to provide utilization review and prior authorization of life-sustaining medications. Understanding of CMS requirements to obtain durable medical equipment, home health, and rehabilitation services.

· Experience with EPIC medical software system.

OSU Heart and Vascular Center (formerly Heart Specialists of Ohio)

· Lead RN for patient education, scheduling, & patient monitoring during venous ablation procedures.

· Work in the Coumadin clinic to draw labs and to titrate medication based on INR results, food intake, and review of medications.

· Triage patient concerns to determine urgency for acute and/or chronic illnesses.

· Monitor patients during cardiac stress testing and provided education on disease management & health promotion.

Intensive Care Unit/Cardiac Care Unit

· Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, mainly with cardiopulmonary exacerbations.
