Truu Foundation is a non-profit organization at North Carolina A&T University, devoted to providing mental, emotional, and academic support to the youth of our community. As the Truu Foundation Secretary, I am required to do the following:

• Volunteer at Irving Park Elementary School on Tuesdays and Fridays to assist the teachers within the classroom, and help students with after-school homework help.
• Set up workshops and membership-bonding meetings by scheduling and reserving rooms, and preparing supplies.
• Maintained filing systems for confidential documents; organized files for easy retrieval of information when requested.
• Managed calendar reminders for upcoming deadlines or events.
• Generated reports on current trends in membership recruitment efforts.

• Help set up community events/ marches
• Helped students succeed through coaching, mentoring and positive reinforcement.
• Conducted individual tutoring sessions with students to help them improve their academic performance.
• Reviewed class materials and discussed reading assignments, boosting comprehension.
• Prepared handouts, study materials and other teaching aids.

For each academic break, I am employed at a local Bahamian restaurant called Colors Restaurant & Bar as a floor server. My role at Colors is to:

• Monitor dining room for cleanliness and proper set-up at all times.
• Serve food and beverages to patrons and immediately remedied issues with orders.
• Provide exceptional service to high volume of daily customers.
• Stock service areas with supplies during slow periods.
• Maintain polite and professional demeanor to patrons to encourage inquiries and order placements.
• Present menus and answered questions regarding items.
• Display enthusiasm and knowledge about restaurant's menu and products.

NexGen is a non-profit mentorship program based in The Bahamas that is committed to fostering a community of socially responsible young men and community-focused leaders who are dedicated to making a positive impact on their communities and the world at large. • Executed and managed banner, video and other non-text link ad campaigns.
• Generated ideas for creative content initiatives.
• Chaperone mentees while on trips.
• Photograph, film, and edit content from events and workshops.
