• At Bone and Joint I First Assist on our total joints, close the surgical wound, all layers. I also scrub cases. I do my best to make sure my scrub or assistant gets a break or lunch when possible. I can multi task and take initiative without much supervision, but good communication.

• I am currently a CSFA at Beloit Memorial Hospital. I scrub and first assist all cases, help turn over rooms. Help with education on surgical products and in services on new equipment. I am Robot trained, and love helping staff gain new knowledge and succeed.

• I was a traveler at this facility for 13 weeks. Surgery center for ortho cases mostly. Some neuro, plastics. Helped turn over rooms, scrubbed cases.

• At St Luke’s I scrubbed all specialties. Ortho totals, general, urology, and anything that needed to be done. Helped turn over rooms and set up cases to help facilitate cases.

I have built a vascular program at Sierra Vista Hospital in 2012 with Dr Berman. I am the Vascular coordinator at St Mary's hospital as well as a first assistant. 

     I am the team leader in product ordering, stocking, outdates, training new people and dealing with the reps. Keeping product outdate to a minimum and not wasting product.

     I am the vascular first assistant to Dr. Berman, Dr. Mendoza and Dr. Quick, I have been working with them for over 17 years.

• I was a travel CST at WGH for 13 weeks. I provided in service on the HANA table and trained staff on the MAKO as it was a new skill for them.
• Maintained updated knowledge through continuing education and advanced training.

• Set up equipment, tools and supplies for procedures and organize instruments as directed in surgeons' preference cards.
• Handed instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures.
• Cleaned and sterilized operating rooms.
• Counted and recorded sponges, instruments, and needles at beginning and end of surgical procedures.
• Facilitated invasive, non-invasive, and minimally-invasive procedures by creating safe and functional operating room environments.
• Used retractors, sponges and suctioning and irrigating equipment to create unobstructed operating fields.
• Collected and prepared tissue specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Used hemostatic clamps, suture ligatures, and electrocautery equipment to control bleeding.
• Closed wounds using sutures, staples and other tools.
• Reviewed surgical requirements and prepped operating room with appropriate tools, equipment and instruments.
• Used diagnostic equipment and monitored patients during procedures using specialized machines.
• Spearheaded coordination of surgical services and specialized equipment.

I was employed per diem at Northwest hospital as Dr. Berman's private scrub tech. I took all vascular call, made vascular trays, helped staff prepare for a successful case, managed preference cards and addressed the need for new products or contacted reps when necessary.
