Rodney Roberts

As an investigator for three cruise line brands, I have handled all serious security and criminal investigations involving our employees, both shoreside and shipboard, as well as investigations of our guests and/or passengers on

board our cruise ships. Among my other duties were the following:

• I acted as a liason with law enforcement both on a local, state and a federal level depending on the severity and type of incident which occurred either shoreside or onboard one of our many cruise ships.
• I conducted training and certification of all our newly hired shiip's security officers and well as members of the ship's security team. This training took place both at our corporate offices as well as onboard our vessels.
• Conducted thorough face-to-face interviews with employers, families, neighbors, friends and suspects and documented all investigative findings.
• Seized evidence for investigations, including interviews of any and all potentially involved parties.
• I maintained our database systems used to store the numerous reports generated from our investigations.

As a 23 year career deputy for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department,

I worked several assignments during the course of my career:

• Began my career as a jail or custody deputy at the Hall Of Justice Jail.
• Worked as a patrol deputy at Lomita Station in the South Bay region.
• Promoted to Field Training Officer which entailed training the new deputies assigned to the station.
• Promoted and worked as a traffic investigator at Lomita investigating traffic accidents/collisions.
• Promoted to Narcotics Detective and worked this assignment for 6 years.
• Transferred to Antelope Valley Station (Palmdale/Lancaster) and worked as a field training officer before promoting to Lead Detective of our Robbery/Assault division.

Some of the work related duties included but are not limited to:

• Thoroughly investigated various criminal acts, including murder, rape, theft and assaults.
• During my stint as a traffic investigator, I interviewed parties involved in the traffic collision as well as took measurements and photographs of the accident scene. This information was used in both criminal and civil court proceedings.
• Participated in hundreds of court hearings per and trials in my 23 year career as a law enforcement officer. I provided written reports, evidence and verbal testimonies during these proceedings.
• Obtained and verified evidence by interviewing, observing and conducting surveillance of suspects and records.

As one of the staff accountants for Seiko Time Corporation, I managed the accounts receivable and payable department. Among my duties were:

• Enhanced budget administration by reviewing billing and receiable procedures to insure our clients paid for the merchandise received from our company in a timely basis.
• Made sure we paid our own bills on a timely basis
• Identified and investigated variances to financial plans and forecasts.
• Performed advanced reviews of business operational trends and expected obligations to prepare accurate forecasts for our company executives.

During my enlistment in the United States Air Force, I served as an Air Passenger Service Specialist. My duties included:

• TIcketing both active duty and retired passengers for Military Airlift Command Flights to points around the world.
• Handled the check-in luggage of all passengers
• Drove the passengers to their selected flight via military transport
• Loaded cargo on designated air craft.
