I volunteer at the Thurston County Explorer’s Program, which is a way for high school students to learn about law enforcement first hand. We are taught the skills and the attitude officers of the law and any profession in the criminal justice system need; from tactical defense to leadership, teamwork, and mental toughness. It’s strict in some ways, but there’s so many opportunities to meet new people and have a lot of fun.

I don’t have any previous work experience, but I’m always willing to learn something new and help out to the best of my ability.
