Responsible for maintaining the safety, security and order of the courthouse, its staff, visitors and property. Responsible for operating security screening equipment, including X-ray machines and metal detectors, to detect prohibited items.

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of security officers and staff. Schedule shifts and ensure adequate coverage for all areas. Assist in developing and updating security procedures, emergency plans, and training programs.

Patrol assigned areas of property, viewing security cameras, conducting routine inspections of doors, gates and other security equipment. Escorting individuals or vehicles as needed. While maintaining a professional appearance and represent the company positively.

Respond quickly to emergencies, disturbances, fights or medical incidents and follow established procedures. Write accurate reports on inmate behavior, incidents and security breaches. Monitor surveillance systems, alarms and control panels.
