  • My job consisted of putting my legal knowledge into practice, with my skills and legal studies. My responsibility in the Public Ministry consisted of detecting criminals and finding evidence to hold them responsible for the crimes committed. My skills as an investigator, analyst, evidence specialist, allowed me to identify if an individual, person, subject, had committed a crime. During my years in the Prosecutor's Office I had more than ten thousand criminal cases, related to drug crimes, robbery, theft, kidnapping, fraud, extortion, organized crime, human trafficking, homicide, among others. For eight years, one of my skills that distinguished me is that I began to instruct, teach, train police officers, investigative bodies, in matters of investigation of punishable acts, based on respect for Human Rights, the preparation of police reports, the search. for obtaining evidence as well as its treatment at the scene of the incident. I had the opportunity to meet various people who control databases of Venezuelan criminals, which allowed me to know the background of the subjects I was investigating. Since March 13, 2011, I have served as Eleventh Acting Deputy Prosecutor of the Public Ministry of the State of Sucre, Anti-Drug Competition. Since March 2, 2013, I served as Acting Sixteenth Assistant Prosecutor of the State of Táchira in jurisdiction over Ordinary Criminal Matters, Comprehensive Family Protection. Since 2014 I was Provisional Prosecutor of the Seventh Prosecutor's Office of the Public Ministry of the Judicial District of the State of Táchira, until I left for the United States and from here I sent my resignation to Venezuela. I was an undergraduate university professor at the Universidad Bicentenaria de Aragua in 2015 and 2016. I was honored and awarded in Venezuela for my work, receiving diplomas, insignia and titles from high authorities. I have given more than 50 workshops and talks in Universities, Communities, Colleges, Schools, Military Officers, Police on Economic Crimes, Fair Prices, Crime Prevention, How to Report, Sexual Crimes, Drug Crimes, Criminal Liability, Smuggling Crimes.

Additional Information

The office of the United Nations High Commissioner issued a letter in January 2018, stating and certifying that Mr. Rolnar Armando Sanabria Bernatte (passport number 140901825) participated as a source on the current elaboration of the United Nations comprehensive written report on the human rights situation in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The elaboration of the report was requested by the Human Rights Council of the United Nations to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in resolution A/HRC/39/L.1/Rev.l (accessible in http://undocs.org/A/HRC/39/L.1/Rev.l). The report will be published in 2019 and presented during the forty-first session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland. The information provided by Mr. Sanabria Bernatte to OHCHR was useful to document human rights violations and the situation of corruption and impunity in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. Furthermore, he is currently helping the OHCHR in finding other reliable sources for the report. Mr. Sanabria Bernatte is a former public prosecutor (district attorney) of the state of Tachira.
