Supervise, install, employ, maintain, troubleshoot and assisted users with battlefield signal support systems, terminal devices, satellite communications equipment and automated telecommunications computer systems, to include local area networks, wide area networks and routers. Integrated signal systems and networks; performed unit and battalion level maintenance on authorized signal equipment and associated electronic devices. Trained and provided technical assistance to users of signal equipment; and operated and performed preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on assigned vehicles and power generators.

Consistently had signal systems up and running. Under various weather conditions performed duties of keeping communication up for the entire unit I was assigend. Safely performed all duties under any conditions.

  • Provided maintenance and technical assistance to commanders and staff in regards to signal support systems.
  • Trained users to connect to and utilize Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs).
  • Installed new wiring and networking hardware in existing facilities and within new construction.
  • Tracked and detected network service disruptions using computer systems, scopes and meters.
  • Handled all troubleshooting tasks for signal support services, which included radio, wire and battlefield automated systems.
