• I worked at different grouphomes from Vitree. Children and teenagers who are not able to live at their families, live in these grouphomes. The ages are between 5 and 18 years old.
• Helped clients develop new coping mechanisms and techniques to drive behavior modification.
• We worked on goals such as stability, money management, cooking, and other aspects children/teenagers need to become independent once they are 18.

• Greeted guests professionally and courteously to cultivate welcoming atmosphere while making safety top priority.
• Conducted regular patrols of key areas to spot and control security concerns.
• Checked identification of persons entering and exiting facility to eliminate unauthorized visitors.
• Worked closely together with the police to keep the bar and surrounding areas safe.

• This grouphome is a place for adults with severe mental health issues and special needs.
• Updated client documentation for accurate, compliant and current records.
• Supported clients and families with empathy and compassion during difficult times.
• Advocated for clients to assure respected rights and wishes.
• De-escalated stressful situations through individual crisis interventions.

This was a weekend/vacation daycare for foster kids. They would be here full weekends or weeks during school breaks.

• Planning and doing activities with the kids
• Keep structure in the house, observe and see whats going on with the kids. A lot of kids who came to this place had a rough life in the past, so behavioral issues were common.

I went to Kampala, Uganda for an internship. I worked with (special needs) children from the slums at a school. My duties were to teach them English and math. There was a class for special needs children, where i would help them develop skills such as getting dressed, talking, potty training.
