  • Original purpose for employment was to build a small freight brokerage from scratch for a 90-year-old trucking company..
  • As the lone employee of Summerford Logistics and inception, I conducted sales calls and managed freight from the "cradle to grave". In September of 2022, we had enough business to make the first hire.
  • I was asked to also assume Director of Operations role for the asset division in June of 2023 and led a recovery of that division by focusing on employee and customer retention.
  • Before I left in October of 2024 for a new experience, I had led the brokerage from zero to $100K/month in gross profit, grew the asset division by 20%, and diversified the customer base so that seasonal freight would not be the only determining factor in our success.
  • Led the asset division to become Carrier of the Quarter for Montgomery Logistics.

  • I was the first hire for this start-up freight brokerage for a parent company that had an asset division of 250 units.
  • Learned cradle to grave logistics, made cold calls to prospective customers and carriers.
  • Developed into a sales leader as the company grew and brought on many national accounts.
  • Helped to grow AMX Logistics from a team of 3 to a team of over 50 and four locations around the Southeast. In that time, saw AMX Logistics go from inception to nearly $200M per year in gross revenue.
  • My accounts grew to nearly $50M in revenue.
  • Given the opportunity to attend a Leadership Development Class during this span and became the President of the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce's 39th Leadership Dothan Group.
  • Awarded Salesperson of the Year in 2018.
  • Helped lead our team to Carrier of the Year awards with multiple accounts that I brought on.

  • Owned and operated several streams of revenue under this umbrella.
  • Executive Transportation and Limousine Service- Dealt with airline contracts for Southwest Airlines and Delta Airlines to shuttle pilots from Northwest Florida Beaches International to their hotels and back to the airport. We also handled all vouchers for passengers for various delay reasons and baggage issues.
  • Worked with Sheltair (FBO) as preferred service for high end clientele flying in and out on private aircraft.
  • Had a contract with the Panama City Beach, Walton County, and Destin Tourist and Visitor Bureaus to handle transportation for all major and minor events to include concerts, festivals, and conferences.
  • Under R. Herring & Co., I also had a fireworks business, partnered in a used car dealership (wholesale and retail), had a commercial real estate license, and hosted/promoted an event featuring Tim Tebow.
